Role Overview
The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within established nursing standards. They will care for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures related to degenerative spine conditions, traumatic injuries, complex reconstructions, tumors, and revisions in a newly integrated inpatient spine unit.
Role OverviewThe Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within established nursing standards. They will care for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures related to degenerative spine conditions, traumatic injuries, complex reconstructions, tumors, and revisions in a newly integrated inpatient spine unit.
Responsibilities- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, home care, and medication use.
- Assess and evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs using critical nursing skills.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Participate in activities ensuring patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
- ADN or BSN degree required;
Bachelor's degree preferred. - No prior experience necessary; new graduates eligible.
- Ability to obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation.
- Strong communication, assessment, and collaboration skills.
