Role And Responsibilities
Provides direct patient care in an outpatient oncology or critical care setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Promotes patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, medication administration, and post-treatment needs.
Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs, addressing patient preferences and barriers to involvement.
Participates in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and engages in professional development.
Maintains safety-sensitive responsibilities, working in a constant state of alertness.
Qualifications And SkillsEducation: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor's preferred.
Licenses: Valid RN license required.
Experience: No experience required; less than 2 years preferred.
Preferred
Skills:
Oncology or Critical Care experience is a plus.
