As part of the Inpatient Medical Oncology service, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Advanced Practice Providers, Hospitalists, and Oncology Attendings to provide comprehensive care for patients throughout their cancer treatment journey.
Working within the renowned Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center, you'll have the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population while practicing in an environment that combines cutting-edge research, innovative treatments, and compassionate, patient-centered care.
Position Details:
- Inpatient Medical Oncology
- Schedule:
Four (4) 10-hour day shifts per week (flexibility with making schedules) - No Call! No Evenings!
- Weekend Rotation:
Every 6th weekend - Collaborate closely with a team of experienced APPs, Hospitalists, and Oncology Attendings
- Practice in a nationally recognized academic medical center and Comprehensive Cancer Center

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
The nurse practitioner functions within their scope of practice as a healthcare provider, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to patients and families across practice settings. They demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses commonly encountered within the inpatient setting. The nurse practitioner demonstrates an advanced level of clinical knowledge, communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism, and systems-based practice.
They work with administration staff, nurses, physicians, medical/surgical trainees, and other staff to assure safe, effective, quality patient care.
Minimum Board Certification(s):
BJH:
Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP- with appropriate experience)
Preferred Board Certification(s): BJH:
Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
