Nurse Navigator – Mercy South:
Cardiothoracic Surgery

Schedule:

Full-Time | 40 hours/week | Monday - Friday | 7:30am - 4:00pm

• Provides comprehensive pre- and post-operative patient education, drives quality efforts to reduce readmissions, and manages procedure scheduling.
• Implement structured post-procedure tracking to reduce readmissions.
• Support daily CV clinic operations within budget and staffing guidelines.
• Prepare the department for increased patient volume, including the arrival of a new CV surgeon.
• Strengthen quality outcomes, patient access, and provider support.
• Provide CV case-scheduling support as procedural volume grows.
• Offer cross-coverage within the CV clinic to maintain patient flow and operational efficiency.
• Offload non-procedural and care-coordination tasks from APPs to enhance access and allow top-of-scope practice.

• Licensure:
  Current RN (Registered Nurse) license in state of Missouri.

  Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Preferred Education:
  
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
