Registered Nurse

Position in Telemetry/Step-Down specialty. Start date is 3-4 weeks out per compliance tier. Patient ratios are 1:4-5. Weekend requirement is every other weekend. Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs. Local candidates are not accepted beyond a 75-mile radius. RTO restrictions apply; a maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract is allowed. Telemetry/step-down experience is essential. Skills required include:

- Accessing/Managing Ports
- Blood Product Administration
- Cardiac Telemetry
- Central line care/management
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- Telemetry - on the unit monitoring Additional unit details include:
Daily census of 32 patients. Interdisciplinary support from various services is available. Patient diagnoses include CHF, arrhythmias, ACS, heart valve disease, and more. Special procedures performed in the unit include cardiac catheterization and echocardiograms. Special equipment required is monitored through necessary qualifications.
