Position Summary As the clinical heartbeat of a premier Pediatric Endocrinology outpatient team, the RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator II enjoys a coveted Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule. The RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator expertly balances direct provider support and patient care during ambulatory sessions with critical care coordination.
Key responsibilities include:
Clinical Triage:
Managing patient calls and ordering outpatient testing.
Advocacy:
Facilitating care team communication and patient education.
Efficiency:
Navigating complex patient care workflows and tasks within Epic.

Job Description Primary
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients including observations and recommendations. Conveys findings to provider.
Coordinates patient care, assists providers with entering treatment/therapy plans in EMR, ordering diagnostic testing, conveys findings to provider, coordinates patient appointments, and assists with referrals to outside sources.
Assists provider with examination, procedures, and other processes related to direct patient care.
Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards, and quality assurance.
Serves as a liaison and team leader by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families, and healthcare team members. Provides appropriate education to patients/families explaining medications, which may include initial chemotherapy teaching, procedures, and ensures continuity of care for patients.
Onboards new coordinators.
Reviews EPIC treatment plans for new order sets and clinical trials.
Serves as Epic Trainer.
Performs other duties as assigned.
