Travel RN – Cardiac Med Intermediate (Stepdown) – Nights

Saint Louis, MO

Contract | 16-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Onsite

• Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups on a 32-bed Cardiac Stepdown unit
• Monitor and manage patients including post-op CABG/Valve, Thoracotomies, Respiratory Failure, and Chest Pain presentations
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including chest tubes, temporary pacemakers, and BiPAPs
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary and interdisciplinary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and regulations
• Float as needed to similar or lower acuity units and participate in every-other-weekend scheduling as required by the facility

• Current RN license; must be eligible for or currently hold licensure in the state of Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Stepdown experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Flu vaccination required (November 1 – April
  1); approved exemptions accepted, declinations are not

• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with chest tubes, temporary pacemakers, and BiPAP management

• Work at a nationally recognized cardiac care facility offering a Level 1 STEMI Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center designation, and advanced Heart Failure certification
