Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room
Position available for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. The role involves handling a daily visit volume of approximately 35 patients. The unit consists of 8 to 10 rooms with a focus on adult services, stabilizing pediatrics, and transfers. Every other weekend is required for scheduling. The position does not require on-call duties. Floating within scope to meet facility needs is expected in ICU and Medical Surgical areas.
First-time travelers are not accepted for this position. The ideal candidate should have experience with blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, and central line care/management. Additional skills should include procedural sedation administration/monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and starting and maintaining IVs. Contingent upon patient demographics, care for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics will be involved. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy.
Daily census information will be gathered but is not specified. This position does not involve trauma care. Travelers must comply with specific requirements outlined by the facility. No discrimination will be tolerated in the application process.
