Registered Nurse
The registered nurse will work in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency room setting. Ratios are typically 4:1 but may occasionally flex to 5:1. Candidates with two to three years of experience will be considered if they have Level I trauma center experience and one travel assignment. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. No on-call requirement for this position. The clinician will not float within scope to meet facility needs.
A block schedule is only available for Friday to Sunday weekend shifts. Locals are accepted, but there is a local radius rule of 75 miles. All requested time off must not exceed seven days per contract and should be finalized at the time of application. The position requires proficiency in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and passing the EKG exam. The facility is a Magnet and teaching hospital with 1,273 staffed beds.
The nursing team is looking for experienced, positive nurses who can provide a good example for younger staff members. The emergency room handles all types of patients and acuity levels, from minor care to critical care. This position may require staff to work in the behavioral health emergency department pod. The role involves drawing phlebotomy samples and managing critical patient care scenarios.
