Role Overview
The Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) in the Regional Float Pool provides individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in a dynamic environment. The position involves floating between hospitals, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with nursing standards.
ResponsibilitiesAssess patient needs, deliver direct care, collaborate with diverse teams, and adapt to various units such as Med/Surg, ED, ICU, and more. Support patients through their treatment journey, ensure compliance with certifications, and maintain current licensure.
Qualifications & SkillsGraduated from an accredited LPN program, current LPN license, minimum of 1-year recent bedside LPN experience (2+ years for critical care), and certifications including BLS and IV certification. Additional certifications like ACLS or PALS may be required based on unit. Physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and patient handling is essential.
