RN - Transplant - Days

Role:

• Provides advanced perioperative nursing care, primarily focusing on cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, with leadership responsibilities for patient care teams.

• Conducts comprehensive preoperative assessments, plans and implements individualized nursing interventions, and evaluates care effectiveness. Coordinates care delivery, delegates tasks considering staff competencies, and communicates with patients, staff, and physicians to ensure optimal outcomes. Acts as a clinical mentor, applies evidence-based practices, and seeks continuous professional development. Ensures safety and infection control in complex surgical environments. Performs additional duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with at least one year of advanced surgical experience. Must hold valid RN licensure and BLS certification in the respective state. Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, lifting, and sensory acuity. Demonstrates advanced clinical judgment and leadership capabilities in surgical nursing.

• Delivering personalized patient care, leading surgical teams, maintaining current knowledge of surgical techniques, mentoring staff, and adhering to safety standards. The role involves independent circulation on complex cases and fostering process improvements.
