American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring 3 years of ER experience and ACLS certification.

• Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I Trauma Center
• Magnet-designated and teaching hospital setting
• Day shift schedule (4x12 hours, 6:00 AM-6:30 PM)
• Can sign for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 4:1 with occasional flex to 5:1
• Every other weekend required
• Only Friday-Sunday weekend block scheduling available; no weekday block schedules
• No on-call requirements
• No floating outside of service line required
• Frequently staffs the behavioral health ED POD
• EPIC charting system used and required

• Active MO or compact RN license required (must match permanent residence)
• Pending license accepted at time of submission
• 3 years of ER experience required; 2-3 years considered with Level I trauma center experience and prior travel assignment
• Prior travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CPI, NIHSS
• Level I and/or Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Must pass Relias EKG exam covering interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skills in psychiatric care, IV therapy/phlebotomy, respiratory management, emergency medications, neurological trauma, and cardiac monitoring
• Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing or must be shaved with no exceptions

• Navy blue scrub color required
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted
• Standard travelers must reside outside a 75-mile radius and may stay up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• Contract length is firm with no early cancellations to accept other assignments at the same health system
• Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing
