Licensed Practical Nurse

Mercy is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses for flexible per diem shifts supporting Mercy Lincoln and surrounding communities. In this field-based role, you'll deliver compassionate, hands-on patient care, administer medications, monitor vital signs, assist with procedures, and document in our EHR. You'll collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to execute care plans and educate patients and families. This PRN opportunity offers schedule flexibility, exposure to diverse care settings, and access to Mercy's collaborative culture and ongoing learning resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside and clinic-based nursing care under RN and physician direction
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and scope of practice
• Monitor, document, and report changes in patient condition and vital signs
• Perform wound care, basic IV therapy, and other LPN-level procedures
• Accurately document care and interventions in the electronic health record
• Support development and implementation of individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and self-care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, effective care
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
• Float between Mercy Lincoln and designated surrounding community sites as needed
