American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry Nights position requiring 2 years of tele experience and an active MO or compact RN license.

• 13-week travel contract on the Cardiac Telemetry unit of an acute care hospital
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Required to work 6 weekend shifts within a 6 week period
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within scope and service line to meet facility needs
• Uses Epic charting system
• Cares for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and post cardiac cath/surgery/angiogram care
• Manages cardiac medications and drips without titration

• Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration (no compact license tied to another compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry experience required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS and CPI preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in telemetry monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and PICC line management
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• Nursys certification required

• Provide cardiac telemetry nursing care including monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and post-cardiac procedure care
• Support patients undergoing pacemaker placement, TAVR, and pre/post cardiac catheterization and surgery
• Navy scrub color required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Not open to candidates within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted during the 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
• Permanent employees of the health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers who have completed an 18-month tenure must take a 3-month break in service before returning
• Facial hair must allow for proper respirator fit testing or must be shaved
