Role Summary
Provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing residents' health, educational, and environmental needs upon admission and continuously thereafter.
Develops and updates individualized, interdisciplinary care plans in collaboration with physicians, residents, families, and team members.
Executes nursing interventions such as medication administration, treatments, and IV therapy safely and accurately, documenting all actions promptly.
Uses critical thinking to monitor residents' conditions, communicate changes to physicians using SBARR, and address crises professionally.
Ensures the delivery of quality care, identifies issues through QAPI processes, and maintains current knowledge of best nursing practices.
Assists residents with daily activities, responds to call lights, and supports overall resident well-being.
Completes ongoing education to stay updated in nursing standards.
Qualifications & Skills- Registered nurse license in the relevant state
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within six months
- Critical thinking, excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and transfer residents safely
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity for documentation and care tasks
- Resident health assessment and ongoing monitoring
- Development and revision of care plans
- Execution of nursing interventions with accurate documentation
- Effective communication with interdisciplinary team and families
- Monitoring for behavioral or health changes
- Responding to emergencies and crises professionally
- Supporting resident activities and care needs
- Maintaining current nursing knowledge and compliance
