Role

Leads and coordinates nursing staff on a Med Surg unit, ensuring quality patient care and clinical objectives are met.

• Assigns, educates, and monitors staff;
• Evaluates performance;
• Assesses patient care needs;
• Develops care assignments;
• Collaborates with advanced practice providers;
• Evaluates patient outcomes;
• Addresses care complaints;
• Contributes to staff hiring, training, and development;
• Responds to emergencies and performs additional duties as assigned.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; minimum one year of RN experience; strong leadership, communication, and assessment skills; physical ability to perform job duties including standing, walking, lifting, and patient handling.

Valid RN license and BLS certification in the applicable state, with licensure requirements varying by location.
