Medical Oncology Clinical Nurse

This nursing position involves providing direct patient care in a 32-bed oncology unit that treats hospitalized cancer patients with moderate to high acuity, including those on Bone Marrow Transplant and Oncology services. The role includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans, emphasizing patient and family-centered care, education, and safety. The nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication and high-quality care, while promoting professional growth through various educational programs and certifications.

• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, implement, and document care plans with team and patient input, ensuring effective communication across the care continuum.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific factors.
• Maintain safety-sensitive practices, working attentively and securely at all times.

• Accepted nursing degrees: BSN or ADN.
• Licensure: RN.
  
  Preferred experience:
  
  2+ years in nursing;
  Bachelor's degree in Nursing is a plus.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
