Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse Level I Trauma Center Days, 10-hour shifts, starting 10/12/2026. This position involves recovery of diverse postoperative patients including neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, gynecological, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant cases. The role requires critical care experience, including invasive monitoring and management of artificial airways, transfusions, and vasoactive medications, in a high-acuity environment.

- Schedule:
10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 10/12/2026 and ending 01/11/2027 - Required Qualifications:
Valid ACLS, BLS certifications; 2 years of recent Level I Trauma Center and high-acuity inpatient PACU experience; proficiency in Epic electronic charting system; experience with critical care procedures such as ICP monitoring, blood product administration, Vasoactive drug management, and ventilated patient care. Additional experience in neuro, surgical, and trauma patient recovery is preferred. - Preferred Qualifications:
Trauma Level I experience, CCRN certification, TNCC certification, neuro/spine care, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and airways management. - Additional Information:
Role involves recovery of adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients in a 24/7 open unit with 38 patient bays. Critical care nurses will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide postoperative care, including pre-op patient workup. Night shift nurses will learn preoperative assessment for first cases. Experience with drains, vasoactive drips, and recovery from general anesthesia is required. The facility operates without weekends, holidays, or call commitments. - Certifications:
ACLS, BLS are required before start; certifications must be current. - Work Environment:
Experience with Epic charting system, high-acuity trauma and surgical patient recovery, and ventilated patient management are essential. - Additional Notes:
Must have at least 2 years of PACU or critical care experience in a Level I Trauma setting, with demonstrated skills in invasive monitoring, artificial airway care, transfusions, and vasoactive medication management. No call, no weekends, and no holidays are expected.
