Registered Nurse; RN; Med Surg Clinical Supervisor

Position Overview:

The Medical Surgical Supervisor oversees inpatient nursing operations on the night shift, ensuring high-quality patient care in a hospital setting.

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff in a Medical Surgical unit.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing team members.
• Facilitate effective communication among staff and other departments.
• Monitor patient care quality and implement improvements as needed.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in Missouri or valid compact license.
• 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with completion within 30 days if not already held.
• Preferred: BSN, management experience, additional certifications, and specialty licensure.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform prolonged standing, walking, and mobility tasks.

• Lead nursing staff during night shifts.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
• Assist in staff development and performance management.
• Implement process improvements and support hospital policies.
