This position serves as an Assistant Nurse Manager in a high-acuity, Level One Trauma Center, overseeing cardiac surgery services and perioperative care. The role involves staff management, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions, with a team of approximately 30 direct reports. Responsibilities include staff scheduling, ensuring quality patient care, maintaining equipment, and contributing to departmental budgets and operational goals.
The role requires creating collaborative care plans, managing staffing needs, and supporting staff productivity.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (RN license required).
- 2-5 years of nursing experience, with preferred 5-10 years.
- Experience in supervisory or leadership roles, with at least 2 years preferred.
- Leadership skills, staff management, and knowledge of cardiac services are advantageous.
Key Duties:
- Manage personnel, conduct performance reviews, and implement professional development.
