This nursing position involves providing direct patient care to oncology patients in a 32-bed unit specializing in cancer treatment and symptom management, including immunosuppression and neutropenia support. The role requires assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. The nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to develop and communicate individualized care plans that address physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, ensuring patient and family-centered care.
Responsibilities include:- Educating patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participating in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and compliance.
- Utilizing critical nursing skills for comprehensive assessments and evaluation.
- Respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural needs in care planning.
- Accepts BSN or ADN; RN licensure required.
- Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in nursing and two years of experience. - Safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.
