Oncology Nurse, RN Nurse
Provides direct patient care to oncology patients in a 32-bed unit with moderate to high acuity, including those on Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Oncology services. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and ensures safety and quality compliance. Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
Qualifications & Skills:- RN license required; ADN or BSN preferred.
- No prior experience necessary; 2+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree are preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a high-acuity environment.
- Coordinate and document individualized care plans with team and patient input.
- Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management.
- Participate in professional development and quality improvement activities.
