American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a Days shift assignment requiring 1+ years of CVOR experience and Missouri RN licensure.

• OVOR) unit within the main OR complex, featuring 2 dedicated cardiothoracic OR suites among 21 total beds
• Cares for cardiothoracic surgical patients including CABG, surgical valves, thoracic, and cardiogenic shock cases
• Maintains a 1 patient per case ratio
• Utilizes Stryker cameras, Zoll defibrillators, and other specialized OR equipment
• Documents in EPIC EMR
• Days shift, 5x8, Monday-Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Weekend hours and call requirements vary based on facility staffing needs
• Floating required as needed by facility

• Active RN license eligible for or currently licensed in the state of Missouri (or compact)
• BLS and ACLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR experience required
• 2+ years of CVOR experience preferred
• No gaps in employment exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required

• Perform perioperative nursing duties including patient assessment, care planning, and coordination throughout the surgical experience
• Apply principles of asepsis, infection control, and aseptic technique in the operating room
• Provide surgical assistance including wound exposure, hemostasis, and related first-assist techniques as applicable
• Supervise team actions to ensure readiness and timeliness for surgical procedures
• Facility-provided scrubs required
• Flu vaccination (or Mercy-approved exemption) required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1, with no declinations accepted
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to reduced bill rates and contract limitations
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

The weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, reflects the lower end of this range for local candidates and higher end of this range for travel candidates. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines.

Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
