Seeking a registered nurse for a full-time role in a cardiovascular progressive care unit. The position involves providing patient care using the nursing process, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities include caring for complex cardiovascular and thoracic patients, such as post-operative surgery cases, heart failure, arrhythmias, myocardial infarctions, pulmonary issues, and overdoses. The role offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment with opportunities for skill development and advancement into specialties like ICU, ED, and Cath Lab.
Qualifications include a nursing degree (Associate, Diploma, or BSN), current RN licensure in Missouri or compact state, BLS certification, and preferred prior hospital experience. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform prolonged standing is required.
