A Float Registered Nurse provides versatile, patient-centered care across multiple inpatient units in a leading academic medical center. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while promoting safety and regulatory compliance.
The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and adapt to diverse clinical settings. Flexibility, strong clinical judgment, and effective communication are essential.
Key responsibilities include supporting a broad range of specialties, ensuring quality care, and participating in ongoing professional development. Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing is required; ICU experience and a BSN are preferred.
Qualifications
- Current RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care Medical-Surgical experience
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in various clinical environments
