Registered Nurse – Stepdown

Role:

Provides direct nursing care in a medical-surgical setting, following established policies and protocols.

Utilizes nursing standards to enhance patient care and quality of life, develops individualized care plans, conducts assessments, and implements interventions. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams to deliver holistic, culturally sensitive, and ethical care. Educates patients and fosters a positive work environment by mentoring colleagues. Applies evidence-based practices tailored to patient age and clinical needs, ensuring safety at all times.

May perform point-of-care testing and other duties as assigned.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with valid licensure (BLS and RN) in applicable states; no prior experience required.

Effective communication, leadership, assessment, collaboration, and cultural sensitivity. Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform necessary tasks.

Patient assessment, care planning, intervention implementation, education, team collaboration, and safety maintenance.
