Part-Time Assistant Nurse Manager – Operating Room

This position is for an Assistant Nurse Manager in the Operating Room, overseeing a trauma and orthopedic surgical unit. The role involves coordinating patient care, managing staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring departmental goals are met. Responsibilities include hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and developing professional growth plans for staff. The manager may participate in staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation, ensuring adherence to operational and safety standards.

They oversee clinical interventions tailored to patient age and needs, document care, and support staff scheduling, payroll, and performance reviews. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, RN licensure, and 2-5 years of relevant experience, with preferred experience in supervision and more extensive clinical background. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
