American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.

• Acute care hospital Emergency Department, adult/pediatric combined
• STEMI and Stroke certified facility
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from
• Every third weekend and every other holiday required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required outside of scope
• Uses EPIC charting system

• Active MO or compact RN license required (no issuance if tied to another compact state)
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• CPI and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation
• Experience with trauma and shock patients, including gunshot wounds
• Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Skilled in triage and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with pediatric emergency conditions preferred

• Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Manage a range of emergency conditions including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and traumatic injuries
• Perform procedures such as IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and blood product administration
• Administer emergency medications and IV vasopressors as needed
• Support patients requiring procedural sedation and ventilator care
• Navy scrub color required
• Must be clean-shaven or have facial hair compatible with respirator fit testing
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Returning travelers must complete an 18-month assignment period followed by a 3-month break in service
• Permanent employees of the health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis
