Travel RN – Neuroscience / Medical Surgical (Nights)

Saint Louis, MO | Acute Care

Contract | 13 weeks | Night Shift | 4x12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Projected Start:
September 21, 2026

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care on a Neurosurgical unit, caring for patients with stroke, seizures, MS, back/head/spinal and other neurological diagnoses or neurosurgery procedures
• Maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients, with a patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
• Float within scope as needed across the unit
• Willingness to take on occasional Charge Nurse responsibilities is required

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care experience in Medical Surgical and/or Neurology
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• On-site FIT test will be required
• Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required for assignments covering November 1 – April 1
• Must be available the entire first week for orientation (night shift orients on day shift)

• Prior experience in a dedicated Neurosurgical or Neuroscience unit
• Comfort with charge nurse responsibilities in an acute care setting
• Experience caring for stroke, seizure, and post-operative neurosurgery patient populations

• Work at a nationally recognized acute care facility that has received multiple hospital safety and quality distinctions, including CMS Five-Star designation and Leapfrog recognition
