This position involves providing direct patient care in a specialized 30-bed unit focused on female-related health issues, primarily GYN Oncology. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The nurse educates patients and families on managing illness, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team—including oncology nurses, advanced practice nurses, case managers, social workers, and physicians is essential to coordinate high acuity, complex interventions, and holistic care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must possess a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree and RN licensure.
- Preferred candidates have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills are required.
- Ability to work safely and maintain alertness is essential.
Key Duties:
- Deliver patient-centered care, promoting a healing environment.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs, addressing patient preferences and barriers.
