Assistant Nurse Manager – Emergency Department

Role Overview: This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining and purchasing equipment, and overseeing departmental operations within a high-volume, state-of-the-art emergency department. The role requires leading staff, ensuring quality patient care, and supporting departmental goals.

Responsibilities:

• Hires, trains, evaluates, and develops staff to meet operational objectives.
• Participates in staffing, budgeting, and responding to business changes to meet financial targets.
• Ensures delivery of patient care aligned with assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans, documenting appropriately.
• Creates collaborative care plans based on patient assessments.
• Monitors staff productivity, manages scheduling, payroll, and performance reviews.
• Supports staff discipline, coaching, and professional development.
• Maintains safety standards and ensures compliance with policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and active RN licensure.
• 2-5 years of nursing experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Strong team leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
