Clinical Nurse Outpatient Oncology Infusion

This position involves providing direct patient care in an outpatient oncology setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing activities. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, medication administration, and post-treatment care. It requires developing and documenting individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring effective communication across care continuum. The nurse assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values, culture, and preferences.

The position is safety-sensitive, necessitating alertness and safe work practices.

Responsibilities:

• Promote a healing environment through patient and family education
• Participate in safety, quality, and compliance activities, and pursue professional development
• Develop, implement, and document care plans aligned with nursing standards
• Assess and evaluate patient needs holistically, considering emotional, spiritual, and cultural factors

Qualifications & Skills:

• Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree required;
  Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Current RN license
• Previous oncology experience and chemo certification are preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment
