Role
Provides direct perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting various specialties across five surgical pods.
ResponsibilitiesEducates patients and families, acts as a liaison, demonstrates competence in scrubbing and circulating roles, prepares and assists with surgeries, ensures patient safety, maintains sterile technique, and participates in safety and quality initiatives.
QualificationsNursing diploma or associate's degree, RN license, 2+ years of OR experience; preferred Bachelor’s degree, CNOR certification, Periop 101, and Mastery Test Out.
SkillsCritical thinking, professional judgment, ability to handle complex cases, team collaboration, and adherence to safety protocols.
Key DutiesAssist with surgeries, ensure safety and infection control, support patient education, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and compliance.
