JOB OVERVIEW

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading quality assurance activities with a strong focus on audit readiness, compliance, and digital documentation systems. The Quality Supervisor will also provide support of Research and Development in accelerating innovation, optimizing production quality, and reducing scrap and changeover time.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties:
Quality Assurance Focus
  • Audit Readiness & Compliance:
    • Lead internal audits and ensure full compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
    • Drive LHB audit preparedness through proper documentation, training, and CAPA closure.
  • Documentation & Change Management:
    • Manage the document control system, including versioning, access control, and regulatory updates.
    • Oversee the Management of Change (MoC) process for quality-impacting changes across operations.
  • Process Digitization & Training:
    • Design and implement a centralized digital system that consolidates training videos, SOPs, fill formulas, and work instructions into a one-click-access format.
    • Develop training content and lead internal upskilling programs across departments.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Research & Development Support
  • Scrap Rate Reduction:
    • Collaborate with the R&D and production teams to minimize scrap, with special focus on Duster products and aerosol lines.
    • Investigate root causes of material loss and support implementation of preventive actions.
  • Production Efficiency:
    • Assist production teams in achieving minimal product changeover time by improving documentation, SOPs, and pre-changeover checks.
  • Safer Choice Projects:
    • Participate in new formulation development, lab testing, and validationactivities to ensure regulatory and performance standards are met.
  • Lab Testing & Trials:
    • Conduct or support CO2 impact gassing lab trials of TM Paint and Prolube, (as example) ensuring proper test documentation and learning transfer.
    • Execute and record lab trials for next-generation Duster formulations, evaluating performance and stability.
  • R&D Collaboration:
    • Provide general support on ongoing R&D initiatives, including sample creation, testing support, data collection, and lab safety adherence.
  • Other duties as assigned
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in chemistry or relative field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years in Quality Control & Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment required; 5 years preferred
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment require
  • 1-2 years experience with research and development preferred but not required
  • Possess fundamental understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation, and implementation with respect to ISO 9001 standards
  • Working knowledge of chemical analytical equipment
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Products
  • Strong interpersonal skills to perform professionally and efficiently with other departments and staff
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directly supervise Quality Control technicians and coordinators

  • Warehouse and office within a chemical, liquid and aerosol manufacturing environment
  • Close proximity to chemical substances, fumes, gases, vapors and/or odors as well as exposure to hazardous materials, noise, vibration and/or vibrating tools and machinery
