The Aeronautical Safety Office provides global aeronautical geospatial intelligence in support of national security objectives, including safety of navigation (SoN), international obligations, and joint military operations. In this capacity, they prepare, compile, publish, distribute and maintain all related Aeronautical GEOINT databases, products, and services as mandated by U.S. law and International Treaties (SOLAS). SFA serves as the source for the issuance of authoritative worldwide aeronautical geospatial information, products, and services in support of global naval operations and safety of life in the air while managing all Aeronautical GEOINT production programs.

Oversee the activity of the quality assurance deliverables, including developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization’s products and/or development processes; oversee the quality management system standards established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO); advise on the procedures and test plans for assuring quality in a system development environment; and assist with audits and analysis of data and documentation.

• Oversee the activity of the quality assurance deliverables.
• Develop, implement and maintain a system of quality and reliability testing.
• Provide development of project Software Quality Assurance Plan and implement procedures that conform to the contract requirements.
• Provide an independent assessment of how the project's software development process is being implemented relative to the defined process and recommend methods to optimize the organization’s process.
• May be responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Conduct Quality Assurance audits and reviews/analyze data and documentation.
• Develop and implement procedures and test plans for assuring quality in a system development environment that supports large databases and applications.

• Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) Security Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship
• Demonstrated experience with methods and processes used to monitor the production of a product or service to maintain a desired level of quality.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the quality management system standards established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001.
• Demonstrated experience with methods and processes used to ensure that materials, components, or products meet expected standards or compliance requirements.
