Senior NDT Technician in GAC St. Louis
We are seeking a qualified Senior Non‑Destructive Test Technician to join our team in St. Louis. This role ensures aircraft parts, sub‑assemblies, major assemblies, and installations are built to type design data and meet all safety and quality standards.
CompensationHourly rate: $38.94 – $45.43 per hour. Final compensation will be determined by qualifications, knowledge, experience, and location.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 4 years of NDT related experience.
- Certified in two NAS 410 NDT methods (PT, ET, UT, MT). Ability to obtain a third within 1 year.
- Preferred: certification in at least three NAS 410 NDT methods and ASQ certificate.
- Level II certification in PT / ET / UT / MT preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and to perform basic shop math.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in current computer-based software.
- Physical ability to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds.
- English language proficiency: read, write, speak, and understand.
- Perform non‑destructive tests (NDT) and determine product acceptability in accordance with prescribed methods and procedures.
- Record, organize, and evaluate test results and enter them into applicable documents.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety rules and provide protection to self and others during testing.
- Maintain, calibrate, and manage equipment and inventory for area inspections.
- Coordinate NDT inspection workload based on priorities, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
- Provide technical assistance to subordinate NDT technicians and perform process control on area inspection equipment.
- Perform exposure room interlock safety checks, establish radiation safety barriers, zero pocket dosimeters, operate radiation survey meters, and complete applicable survey logs and forms.
- Perform automated ultrasonic C‑scan inspections of composite parts.
- Be available to work any shift.
- Work with and assist other NDT technicians as required.
