Sample Control Technician

Position:
Full‑time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Candidates living within commutable distance of St. Louis, MO are encouraged to apply.

Our laboratory in Maryland Heights, Missouri provides organic chemistry testing specializing in investigative analytical chemistry. This includes evaluating label claims of consumer products, reverse engineering pharmaceuticals and nutritional supplements, contaminant identification, determining sources of off‑odors/flavors/colors, extractables and leachables of consumer electronics, and testing medical devices.

• Receive and catalog customer‑supplied samples for analysis.
• Store samples prior to and after analysis until scheduled disposal per customer requirements and maintain inventory records.
• Generate chain‑of‑custody forms for regulated projects.
• Return samples to customers after analysis upon request.
• Package and ship analysis samples for outsourced services.
• Maintain chemical inventory and assist with ordering lab and office supplies.
• Use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) for documentation and reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
• Work comfortably in a fast‑paced environment with firm deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment.

• Experience with database entry.
• Knowledge of Laboratory Health & Safety procedures.
• Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
