Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: St. Louis

Formulate is building the technology platform redefining how personal care products are designed, manufactured, and delivered. We believe the era of mass‑produced, one‑size‑fits‑all skin and hair care is coming to an end.

We are leading the shift toward a new chemist‑to‑consumer model - where expert formulation, intelligent software, and advanced manufacturing come together to create products tailored to real people. By connecting formulation science directly to the end user, we are changing not only how products are made, but how they are discovered, customized, and purchased.

We’re building the platform powering a new movement - one that replaces mass production with precision creation.

About the Role

As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the products manufactured in our facility meet defined specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

This is a hands‑on, on‑site role within our production environment. You will perform inspections, testing, and documentation across raw materials, in‑process batches, and finished goods. Your work directly impacts product consistency, customer trust, and operational excellence.

We are building modern, automation‑driven manufacturing systems -- but quality still depends on disciplined execution and attention to detail. This role is critical to maintaining high standards as we scale.

This is a full‑time, onsite role based in St. Louis, Missouri.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform incoming raw material inspections and verification
  • Inspect and test finished goods against defined specifications.
  • Document quality results accurately and maintain organized batch records.
  • Identify deviations, non‑conformances, and assist in root cause investigations.
  • Support calibration and maintenance of lab and testing equipment.
  • Collaborate with Production and Operations teams to resolve quality issues quickly.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory/work area.
What We’re Looking For
  • 1+ years of experience in quality control, manufacturing, or laboratory environments preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Comfortable working hands‑on in a production setting.
  • Ability to follow structured procedures and document findings clearly.
  • Basic understanding of quality systems and inspection processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and reliability.
  • High accountability and ownership mindset.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt as systems evolve.
  • Experience with cosmetics, personal care, food, or chemical manufacturing is a plus but not required.
What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation.
  • Opportunity to work in a modern, automation‑driven manufacturing facility.
  • Training in quality systems and production processes.
  • Stable, full‑time employment in a growing company.
  • Clear path for growth within Quality and Operations.
