Location: St. Louis
Dimensional Quality Control Inspector (CMM/ISO 9001)
Where precision shapes performance. Step into a role that anchors product integrity from first article through final shipment. You will be the go-to specialist ensuring precision‑machined components meet exacting customer and engineering requirements.
A Day in the Role You begin by reviewing engineering drawings and GD&T callouts for the day’s builds. First articles roll in and you verify critical features with calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial indicators, and other metrology tools. Mid‑shift, you move to the CMM to run dimensional programs that confirm complex geometries, then document findings and flag any nonconformances. Throughout the day, you collaborate with production and engineering, support corrective actions, and keep inspection equipment calibrated and audit‑ready under our ISO 9001 system.
What You’ll Own First article, in‑process, and final inspections for precision‑machined parts
Use of precision measuring instruments: calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial indicators, and related tools
Operation of CMM equipment to verify dimensions and specifications (experience with Mitutoyo, CMM‑Manager, or similar is a plus)
Interpretation of blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and welding symbols
Gage calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment
Execution of ISO quality audits and support of quality management system compliance
Documentation of inspection results, nonconforming material, and quality reports
Participation in root cause analysis and corrective action activities
Cross‑functional collaboration with production and engineering to resolve quality issues
What You Bring1+ year of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated skill with precision measurement tools
Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T principles
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems
Hands‑on CMM experience; familiarity with Mitutoyo or CMM‑Manager preferred
Understanding of welding symbols and basic weld inspection
Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem‑solving mindset
High school diploma or equivalent
Why You’ll Love Working Here Stable, full‑time position in a clean manufacturing environment
Access to advanced inspection technology and tools
Team‑oriented culture focused on quality and continuous improvement
Competitive pay commensurate with experience
