Tired of reactive firefighting? We are looking for a Quality Control Manager who wants to build sustainable systems on the manufacturing floor.
Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Control Manager to lead our quality assurance initiatives and drive a culture of continuous improvement within our manufacturing operations. This is not a desk job. We need a visible, proactive leader who will take ownership of our quality management system, work directly with our engineering and production teams, and shift our plant from reactive problem-solving to preventive discipline.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your work directly shapes product compliance and customer satisfaction, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop our Quality Control team to ensure all quality objectives are met throughout the entire production lifecycle.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve quality control processes that comply with ISO 9001:2015, UL, and NSF regulatory standards.
- Manage in-process inspections, incoming raw material checks, third-party supplied product evaluations, and final product audits.
- Investigate non-conformances using structured root-cause analysis tools like 8D, FMEA, and 5 Whys to drive sustainable corrective actions.
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, production, and procurement to resolve issues and champion Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Oversee inspection protocols, equipment calibration, and document control within our ERP system.
- Host and coordinate customer audits, third-party inspections, and certification body assessments.
- Provide regular reporting to senior management on key quality performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality control role.
- 3+ years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity leading a quality team.
- In-depth, hands-on knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and compliance.
- Proven success utilizing problem-solving methodologies like 8D, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S.
- The ability to confidently read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering schematics.
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience utilizing quality management systems and ERP platforms to track and resolve issues.
- A background in the manufacturing of injection molded and sheet metal fabrication components is highly preferred.
Join a team that values integrity, innovation, and doing things the right way. We offer a collaborative environment where your expertise will be recognized and rewarded. If you are ready to take ownership of quality and drive real change.
