- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience: 8-10+ years of progressive quality assurance experience within FDA-regulated industries (food, beverage, or dietary supplements), including direct team management.
- Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, SQF (or equivalent GFSI standards), and Statistical Process Control.
- Skills: Proven track record in project management, cross-functional influence, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement methodology.
Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Regional Manager provides strategic and operational leadership across regional manufacturing sites to ensure product safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role drives a proactive quality culture, mentors site teams, and collaborates cross-functionally to standardize quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development- Manage, mentor, and build high-performing regional quality and food safety teams.
- Establish SMART goals, define standard work, and foster a culture of quality excellence.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive food safety, quality, and sanitation training programs.
- Serve as a strategic partner to site leadership, influencing site-level decision-making and operational strategy.
- Escalate critical food safety, quality, or financial risks promptly to senior leadership.
- Oversee regional application of food safety, product quality, and prerequisite programs.
- Lead root cause analysis initiatives to address non-conformances and implement robust preventative actions.
- Manage the regional internal audit program to ensure audit readiness and timely CAPA resolution.
- Drive key performance indicators, including First Pass Quality, complaint reduction, scrap/disposal minimization, and environmental/sanitation controls.
- Partner with R&D, Operations, and Commercial teams on new product introductions, quantify launch risks, and ensure seamless first-time makes.
- Support preparation for customer visits, third-party audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Integrate best practices and standardize quality management systems across all assigned facilities.
