QC Microbiologist Technician

Job Description

Prepare the microbiological laboratory for testing, including cleaning, stocking, media preparation, instrument calibration, and data trending. Ensure proper labeling and storage of samples to prevent contamination.

PAY - $25-$28/hour

Responsibilities

* Prepare media for testing and media melt.

* Conduct various tests and experiments on microorganisms, including gram stains and performing pH of media.

* Ensure proper calibration of laboratory equipment and report any malfunctions.

* Perform environmental monitoring testing and document the environmental monitoring program in a high-care packing room as needed.

* Trend data efficiently and log equipment temperature readings daily.

* Calibrate instruments as required and maintain laboratory cleanliness.

* Order supplies, stock the laboratory, and maintain documentation.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related science OR an Associate Degree with 5 years of industry experience

* 1 year of experience in a microbiology laboratory (school labs considered)

* Knowledge of microbiological techniques including rapid release methods and aseptic techniques

* Experience qualifying environmental monitoring processes

* Experience with microbiological techniques such as air, water, and surface monitoring

* Familiarity with basic analytical laboratory equipment

* Proficiency with microbiological testing equipment

* Proficiency in MS Office software package

Work Environment

Work in a microbiology laboratory environment under the general supervision of the Microbiology Supervisor in a c-GMP regulated manufacturing setting following Q7A standards. The schedule is flexible, Monday to Friday, with a 40-hour work week set between 6:00 AM and 5:30 PM. Choose an 8-hour schedule that suits you and adhere to it.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
