Position Summary

Hours:
40 hours per week. Our laboratory focuses on developing innovative computational tools and methods, utilizing advanced single-cell (epi) genomic techniques to understand gene regulation in human diseases, particularly brain tumors and neuropsychiatric disorders.
- Design research protocols and develop procedures for data collection, verification, and management.
- Assist in grant preparation, reporting, and other research-related administrative tasks.
- Perform complex statistical analyses, verify data accuracy, and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Document research topics, prepare interpretative reports, and submit manuscripts for publication or presentation.
- Identify and resolve software and computational issues, and suggest technical or procedural improvements.
- Conduct literature searches related to research projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the laboratory environment.
- Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years of laboratory operations experience.
- Strong analytical problem‑solving, communication, computer literacy, data analysis, and data interpretation skills.
- Preferred:
Ph.D. in a related discipline.
$48,000.00 – $86,900.00 per year (Grade R10).
