Position Summary
Postdoctoral Research Associate will contribute to an NIH‑funded project investigating age‑related changes to episodic memory for the content and structure of naturalistic events. The role may also involve developing independent research projects in the lab on these topics. Studies may explore effects of healthy aging and Alzheimer’s disease on memory processes. Research projects will include functional brain imaging techniques (fMRI), behavioral measurement, and computational modeling approaches.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Study development:
Conduct literature reviews, design studies, create study materials, and collect data. - Data analysis:
Compile, clean, and analyze data. - Writing:
Prepare manuscripts and reports. - Communication:
Meet regularly with the PI and lab to discuss progress and address issues. - Perform other duties as assigned.
Base pay is commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications- Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent terminal or doctoral degree.
- A Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field.
- Expertise in developing and conducting lab, web‑based, or archival psychology studies.
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects, evidenced by quantity and quality of publications.
- Prior experience collecting in‑person data from human participants.
- Basic proficiency in computer programming.
- Experience with functional MRI data collection and processing.
- Expertise in functional MRI analyses, particularly multivariate pattern analyses.
- Advanced proficiency in computer programming, especially with Python and/or R.
- Experience with older adult research participants.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Willingness to collaborate with a team to complete tasks.
- Skills in research design, participant recruitment, data management, statistical analysis, scientific writing, and interest in mentoring junior lab members.
