Job Overview
The Patti Lab in the Department of Chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Post Doctoral Student. Our group develops and applies novel mass spectrometry-based methods for multi-omics research.
Duties- Design analytical research protocols, including developing procedures for the collection, verification, and management of data. Develop technical or procedural improvements in research methods. Conduct literature searches related to the research project.
- Perform complex data analysis of metabolomic, lipidomic, and exposomics data using a variety of sophisticated software packages.
- Prepare final summaries of data and publication-quality graphs, tables, and charts. Write manuscripts for publication.
- Aid in mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students.
PhD in Chemistry or Biochemistry or a related field.
Research expertise in one or more of the following areas is required for this position:
- Familiarity with Thermo, Agilent, and Bruker LC-MS systems.
- Liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry-based methods.
- Mass spec sample preparation experience.
- Data analysis of lipidomics, metabolomics, and exposomics data
