Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated candidate to join our research team focused on the relationship between neuroplasticity and stroke recovery, and testing neuromodulation therapies for stroke rehabilitation. Prior research experience is not required; however, previous experience in a research environment is preferred. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in scientific research and a willingness to participate in studies involving animal models as required by the research program.

Job Description PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the PI or lab members, performs projects, experiments, data collection, and data analysis.
- Design experiments under guidance of PI or senior lab members.
- Perform data entry and maintain lab notebook.
- Receive mentorship for activities related to career goals and objectives (e.g., PhD or MD programs).
- Under supervision, draft materials for manuscripts, presentations, and/or posters; may present results as directed by PI.
- Review literature related to relevant research.
- Learn lab functions helpful in running a lab (e.g., purchasing, explaining protocols to other lab members).
- Assist in developing procedures and guidelines for the lab.
- Assist with general lab upkeep, maintenance, and cleaning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards.
- The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.

Salary Range$16.92 – $26.44 per hour.
