** Position Summary
** We invite applications for a full-time Research Manager to join the laboratory of Dr. Andria
B. Eisman. Dr. Eisman's research program sits at the intersection of implementation science, health economics, and community-engaged prevention, with a focus on improving the delivery of evidence-based programs addressing adolescent substance use, mental health, and well-being in school and community settings.
The Research Manager will serve as a scientific contributor across the lab's funded portfolio, which includes federally funded projects from the National Institutes of Health. This is a grant-funded position offering substantial opportunities for mentorship, and career development within a highly productive, collaborative research environment.#
** Job Description
**** Primary
Duties & Responsibilities:
** Research Design and Project Management
* Contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of multi-method (qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods) research studies across the lab's portfolio.
* Coordinate day-to-day research operations for active grants, including IRB submissions, data management plans, and compliance with NIH reporting requirements.
* Oversee data collection activities in school and community settings, including coordination with regional school health coordinators, state agencies, and community partners.
* Support the development of new grant proposals, including contributing to specific aims, research strategies, and budget justifications.
Data Analysis and Dissemination
* Support advanced quantitative analyses (e.g., multilevel modeling, cost-effectiveness analysis, structural equation modeling) using statistical software such as R, SAS, or Stata.
* Co-lead qualitative data collection and analysis, including stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and thematic analysis using frameworks such as CFIR or TDF.
* Apply health economic methods including micro-costing, budget impact analysis, and cost-effectiveness modeling as aligned with implementation science frameworks.
* Lead the preparation of peer-reviewed manuscripts for high-impact journals in implementation science, public health, and prevention science; contribute to conference presentations and technical reports.
Community Engagement and Partnerships
* Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with implementation practitioners, school administrators, state agencies, and community-based organizations.
* Facilitate stakeholder advisory boards and community partner meetings; translate research findings for practitioner and policy audiences.
* Support community-engaged research practices that prioritize health equity and contextual fit of evidence-based interventions.
Mentorship and Lab Leadership
* Mentor and supervise graduate research assistants, undergraduate students, and junior lab staff on research methods, scientific writing, and professional development.
* Contribute to lab culture, team meetings, and ongoing methodological and substantive discussions.
* Represent the lab at scientific conferences, stakeholder convenings, and collaborative team meetings with funded partners.
