Agronomic Development Lead - US Markets

The US Agronomic Development Lead Position will lead the processes of providing product technical support for internal/external needs relative to product performance, stewardship, and potential innovation initiatives for glyphosate-based herbicide products across the United States. This role ensures that glyphosate solutions remain effective, sustainable, and compliant with evolving agronomic practices, and these technical features can be translated into internal / external opportunities.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Technical/Agronomic needs:
    Participate with the Technical development teams on field trial work to evaluate glyphosate efficacy, resistance management, and application technologies;
    Have the ability to process technical data to support product registrations, label expansions, and stewardship programs;
    Collaborate with R&D teams to provide input on the development of new glyphosate formulations or application methods.
  • Stewardship & Compliance:
    Work closely on resistance management strategies in collaboration with universities, extension services, and industry groups;
    Ensure compliance with US regulatory requirements and environmental standards;
    Develop best practice guidelines for safe and effective glyphosate use that can be used to educate customers/industry.
  • Knowledge Transfer:
    Provide technical training and support to sales, marketing, teams, and lead all agronomic based training efforts;
    Publish technical bulletins, white papers, and presentations for growers, distributors, and industry stakeholders that are relevant to the current agronomic environment or seasonal developments;
    Represent the company at scientific conferences, grower meetings, and regulatory hearings.
  • Market & Customer Engagement:
    Serve as the technical expert for glyphosate products in the US market;
    Partner with growers, retailers, and distributors to address technical inquiries and optimize product performance;
    Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging weed resistance challenges from a technical point of view sharing insights with the business teams on these potential factors with technical resolution concepts for consideration.

Required qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in Agronomy, Weed Science, Plant Science, or related discipline;
    Deep understanding of glyphosate chemistry, weed resistance biology, and US agricultural practices;
    Proven experience in conducting and analyzing field trials;
    Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical data into practical recommendations internally, and with customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in crop protection technical development, preferably with herbicides;
    Experience working with regulatory agencies (EPA, USDA) and industry associations;
    Familiarity with digital agriculture tools and precision application technologies;
    Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills;
    Ability to travel extensively across US growing regions.

This posting will expire on August 11, 2026. Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $154320.00 - $231480.00 per year. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
