Position: Research Engineer -Agricultural Laboratory & Equipment Testing (STEM)

Research Engineer

Required education:
Master's degree in a STEM field with 2+ years of professional experience OR Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of professional experience.

Required qualifications:

  • Experience operating laboratory, engineering, industrial, or testing equipment.
  • Programming experience with Python, C#, C++, or similar language.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in the St. Louis, Missouri area.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Agricultural research experience.
  • Laboratory automation or instrumentation experience.
  • Experience with sensors, test systems, or engineering equipment.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary R&D organizations.

Summary:

Seeking a motivated Research Engineer to support innovative agricultural research through laboratory operations, engineering testing, equipment maintenance, and experimental data collection. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering work, solving technical challenges, and collaborating with multidisciplinary research teams developing next-generation agricultural technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory experiments and engineering tests following established protocols.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory and engineering equipment.
  • Prepare research samples and testing materials.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data.
  • Create technical reports, charts, and presentations to communicate research findings.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure laboratory safety and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to support ongoing research projects.
  • Assist with evaluating new laboratory technologies, equipment, and testing processes.
