Job Summary:

The restaurant Expeditor ensures quality and proper presentation of food in a timely manner; that food orders are prepared and assembled quickly according to recipes and procedures to avoid waste; and that the line is always stocked, neat, clean and safe.

• Ensure kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and sent out together by directing servers and/or food runners to deliver and complete the orders.
• Maintain a brisk and steady pace; organized and no unnecessary steps.
• Adhere to recipes and ensure proper presentation of each plate and the appropriate temperature.
• Keep the kitchen and all equipment in a "like new" condition; practice clean as you go.
• Measure productivity by the quantity of work completed in a specific time period, not just quality.
• Demonstrate strong organization skills.
• Think ahead and stock supplies before the rush.

• Handle multiple tasks and balance fluctuating workload.
• Work and communicate well with others.
• Attention to detail and initiative are a must.
• Show responsible behavior and a professional image.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Adopt safe food handling practices; safety is a top priority.
• Be a team player.

• 2 years of work or related experience preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends and holidays.
